Wow, this is a really bad picture! I took this with my cell phone because once again my teenage daughter has misplaced my camera. Hopefully next week I will have a better picture to post.
Well I'm posting this a little before Wednesday because I have a very busy day planned tomorrow. I have a funeral for my 15 yr old daughters 2nd grade teacher in the morning. Then tomorrow evening I'll be flying to Dallas because my brother is having surgery on Thursday. I'm not real sure what's going on with my brother. Last night my Dad told me it's outpatient surgery and I don't need to make the trip. Then tonight he calls and says he's booked a flight for me and my 4 yr old daughter. So just say a prayer for us to have a nice flight and for my brother and dad.
Time to go read the airport regulations on what kind of sewing stuff I can bring with me. Have a great week everybody!

New Goodies
I love getting goodies in the mail! I also love the Daily Deal at Missouri Star Quilt Co. Last week they had this Minkee charm pack on sale for under $2! So of course I had to order one and since the shipping is only $5 I had to buy something else.
I love all the vintage quilts I've seen around blogland. I love the fabrics, the quilt squares, everything. Only problem is, when I go fabric shopping and look at the vintage fabrics, I don't really like it in person. I'm the type who shops for that one gorgeous fabric and then builds my quilt design around it. None of the vintage fabrics really jumped out at me in person. I know, I'm weird. So I thought I would start out with this little vintage charm pack and build from there. I may even make me one of these little treasure boxes out of my charm pack.

One Flower Wednesday - Hexagon Layout
Well by a unanimous vote out of 3 people, option C has won! So since I will be sewing flowers out of these I-spy hexies, I have decided to join many other bloggers for One Flower Wednesday. I figured I could make a flower a week while working on making more hexagons.

Colors of the Rainbow Swap
I joined my 1st fabric swap a couple weeks ago at Bolo Heads. While reading the directions I thought it said to choose 2 colors to swap, so I chose kelly green and orange. Later on I realized I had signed up for 2 swaps! Oh well, I have been wanting to make myself a rainbow quilt for awhile, now I can make a BIG rainbow quilt! I have always loved rainbow colors even as a kid. So I'm excited to get my rainbow fabrics back so I can start sewing!

Need Your Opinion
I need help deciding on a layout for my hexagon I-spy quilt. I still have lots of hexagons to make, but I was going to start putting them together so it's not such a huge chore at the end. Just comment with the letter of the picture you prefer or let me know your ideas.
A.
B.
C. Here I would put solid pink hexagons in the centers. I just don't have any made at the moment. D.
